A book on Lithuanian artist M.K. Ciurlionis, who has received numerous solo exhibitions in the past two decades (Paris, Cologne, Rome, Tokyo), rediscovered as a major and innovative Symbolist artist. Beautifully printed and designed, with nearly 100 color plates of his visionary art - work informed by metaphysics, Theosophy, the Northern landscape, and music (Ciurlionis was also esteemed as a composer of symphonies) - as well as illustrations of some drawings and graphic art, even some facsimiles of letters and musical scores. An exemplary book on a singular and, till recently, vastly overlooked artist.
