1958. A humble clerk from the Central Information Office, Thomas Foley, is sent to Brussels. His mission is difficult and at the same time honorable: organizing a pub called "Britannia" at the International Exhibition in Brussels, designed to demonstrate civilized relations between European countries that survived the horrors of World War II. But the thing is that civilized relations are just a screen, the Cold War is in full swing. And soon Thomas will understand what it is like to be a pawn in this war.
I wonder what Ian Fleming's famous hero would do in his place? This question never ceases to torment the humble clerk.
