Nobody has ever claimed that you can learn to juggle by reading a book, but this book, written by a man who has taught over 300,000 people to juggle, shows with clear illustrations and text the how-to of juggling, leaving the prospective juggler to add determination and the requisite practice, practice, practice. Finnigan asserts convincingly that one should start with nylon scarves, as they are slow moving and thus more suitable for the beginner. After mastering the scarves three are included with the book, thus posing a control problem for libraries the author goes on to balls, clubs, cigar boxes, sticks, hats, and plate and ball spinning. The last chapters deal with performing, teaching, and health aspects.
