Leo Dickinson beautifully explains and captures how some amazing climbs have been filmed and almost nonchalantly describes the complexity of camerawork at high altitude.
I first read this in the early 80s and found it again recently in a second hand bookshop. It has lost none of its charm and the excitement of his adventures really comes across in a very readable style.
If you are interested in climbing, adventure, or just how to film the seemingly impossible – this is the book for you.
Great escapism from perhaps a less well known film maker – who deserves better recognition.
