He was probably very ernest when he wrote the original, but this edition has been edited and abridged into one volume by Lionel Trilling and Steven Marcus. It was published by Penguin Books, sweetly 'in association with Hogarth Press', which was Virginia Woolf's imprint. This is a personal and professional biography of the man who shaped so much of how we view ourselves today, erroneously or otherwise. This edition has a lovely heft about its physicality and finds clitoral orgasm to be a superior sensation. It also has pictures.
